The Alliance Française de Charlottesville began in 1992 and is dedicated to promoting French language and culture. Come and join us if you want to speak French, learn French, or just soak up French culture, right here in Charlottesville!

The Alliance Française de Charlottesville is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization funded by local donations. It is not an agency of the French government.

Our Mission

- Promote and share French language and culture within the Charlottesville community

- Serve as a non-profit French cultural center and language school

- Foster cross-cultural dialogue between French-lovers of all ages and backgrounds
